About Me

NEW SINGLE: LEADER OF THE GLEANERSRequest on JJJThe Everyones (usa) The Anyones (aus) have just released a killer new single "leader of the gleaners".
Within days of being born, this baby has already been picked up by triple j and local radio. It has been a long time coming and after an extended journey into non Anyones world (Roh in rehab - aus; Age in rehab and still residing in the US after last tour).. we think we are back and better looking than ever...Keep an eye out here and on our website (www.theanyones.com) for some up and coming tours to launch the single before we head back into the twilight zone to record the 3rd piece of genius indie slosh..***************************************************** *************The Everyones, once considered one of Australia's undiscovered musical gems, have since established themselves to be one of the finest acts to come from our shores. Brothers, Steve and Mal Pinkerton joined forces with schoolmate Nick Murphy in 1997, and with Adrian Gardner and Rohan Brooks on board soon after, the fresh and imaginative guitar pop band we know as The Everyones was born. With a guitar core, The Everyones have combined keyboards, strings, flute and samples to produce what can best be described as harmony driven cinematic rock. The Everyones have toured extensively throughout Australia and America as well as Canada over the past few years, playing at festivals such as Homebake, Livid and The Big Day Out, as well as supporting international and local artists as diverse as The Vines, The Music (UK), Morissey (UK), Magic Dirt, Brad (USA), You Am I & Rocket Science. Following up the highly successful album Lonerider, in 2003, The Everyones released their self-titled album in August 2004 to much critical acclaim. Tracks such as Come Around, Green Cats Eye and Pocket soon found their way onto high rotation on Triple J and community radio stations. In late August and September, the band followed up this release with Triple J "presented" Australian tour of more than 35 dates, with all of the capital city shows selling out and the band establishing itself as one of the most interesting bands in Australia. With The Everyones' album being voted in the top 10 new albums for 2003 in Australian street press, and three songs being up for nomination for Triple J's Hottest 100, this release has been a great success.
All this led to signing record deal with TEE PEE Records in NYC and followed up that with a sold out tour across america with JET playing some of the biggest festivals in the world as well as alot of crazy crazy nights of ROCK. They then backed this up once again hitting the states for a coast to coast tour of the USA playing with the Killers and Presidents of the united states and even had Jonathan Richmond support them in San Fran..
"The Everyones are back with a righteously tuneful release… a mammoth barrage of resonance…songs so refreshingly memorable" Shane Christmass, The BRAG "A lush union of rock & classical elements, stacked harmonies & sneaky sound effects." Michael Dwyer, The AGE "When you are this good, being mercurial is not a sin." Andrea Black, SYDNEY MORNING HERALD I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
