About Me

WELCOME TO LINDSEY PAUL'S MUSIC MYSPACE

Helllo, I'm Lindsey. I live in Charleston, West Virginia. I began the journey of singing when I was a little girl. It all started when my parents would leave me by the television, with CMT on. I would watch Faith Hill and Shania Twain and wish to someday grow up and do exactly what they did. Ever since I was able to talk I have always been singing every song on the radio and my favorite happened to always be country music. Country music has always been "my thing". My parents became astonished at my interest and knowledge of country music artists at a very young age. When we would be in the car, a song would come on, and I would just start singing every word to it at the top of my little lunges. They would always ask me who sang the song, just to see how much I knew, and with little surprise, I always knew who it was! When I was 6 years old I would be out on my swing set in my daddy's back yard singing "This Kiss" by Faith Hill and i'd just swing and sing away. My parents always knew I'd turn out to be a singer and it was something I always dreamed about. I just find this satisfying place in music whether I'm listening to others sing it or I'm singing my own. Singing to me is kind of like a second-nature because I've just always done it, it's my way of expressing everything that I feel. Some day my family and I believe I might make something bigger of myself for my talents in music and I hope for the best but whatever happens, I'm just happy to sing period, whether I'm on a huge stage somewhere performing or if I'm just merely singing in the car with my mom to Taylor Swift songs, like we always do. With that said, I'm going to try to the best of my ability to make something of myself. I am me and this is what I love to do.

I actually idolize many artists, but if I were to choose a few that I'm most influenced by, Carrie Underwood would most certianly be a strong candidate. I look up to her of course because of her strong vocal range, but I also enjoy her stage performance. I love the emotion that she gives off in every song of hers because it's very clear that she feels what she sings. I also see her as a very positive role model for young girls and women.

Another idol of mine is younger, but still a very talented singer/song writer, her name is Taylor Swift. One of the reasons I like her I think is because she's young like I am, but my main reason for looking up to her is because she writes all of her own songs, and we have that in common, I write a lot myself. She is very relatable in many ways and she never sings one her songs without everything it means to her all over her face, thats a true artist.

Sounds Like: THINGS I LIKE TO DO WHEN I'M NOT SINGING:
-read "Chicken Soup Books"
-look through old photographs
-make scrapbooks
-listen to country music
-watch movies with my mom
-take power naps
-write songs and quotes
-laugh at myself
-take bubble baths
-google absolutely everything!
(:
