Aye whats good? Kia Ora The name Koma aka The K.O aka The knock out, i was born in Brisbane Oz drafted to Aotearoa in the early 80s and had my first taste of hiphop when I was 6 or 7 when I saw BeatStreet fo the first time. I was hooked after my older brother brought Run DMCs tape (Raising Hell) and i stole it fo a cuple days to lern the werds haha. I grew up in Fairfeld Hamilton (Ghetto boy). Before I started taken Hiphop music serriously I was in a street gang, trying to make money but soon realised I needed to change it up, So I quit the gang to become a m.c. With dreams of making a better life and staying outta trouble I began the journing of forming Rap crues. 1st was B.O.P (Brown Onehundred Percent) in 1994 with Native sons Marcus Taukiri, after that I was in the crue Endoley 1995 then Aziz 1996 and the mighty Time Bandits HipHop crue 1997 members B Boys Teknec,Infomus,T rock, Arty,Hema,Are K,B Gerl V Finesse Dj Freeman,Dj Militia,Dj Omega B. Time Bandits represented Hamiltons Hiphop scene show casen all skills around New Zealand till the end of 98 when the crue all decided to part and go there own ways. At that time i was approached bye Omega B the founder of the 4 Corners to take this crue to success and beyond, the only condition fo me to join was that I wanted to look fo a rap partner , since in the Time Bandits i did nearly 2 years of raping a 45 minute set and wanted to have some one to vibe of with the music, soon arfter.I found long time Mc Hepaklypz, who I was impressed with seen he had a bad experience on stage a few years b4 and I thort any one who wasnt serious bout hiphop wouldv given up arfter that type of shit happen to you. We then started the mission of making the crue , the sound, and the chemistry that makes us so unique in this country. without a doubt we have brought street cred, and gained the respect of the hiphop industry. the only way is up from here ya dig.
