CRIMEN SOCIAL [NEED A DRUMMER!!]

Crimen Social (Social Crime in Spanish) is a three-piece punk band from Long Branch, New Jersey. Since the summer of 2005, the band members have been connected socially and musically. Together they went through many names, covering songs by The Casualties to songs by bands like Rancid, and doing their own songs for fun until the fall of 2008 when they got a bit more serious. In that fall, the band chose the name Crimen Social to represent things going on in the scene, the country, and the world. To get their messages across they sing in English and Spanish mixing Latino punk, 80s’ hardcore and New Jersey “Shore Core.” This fierce mix of music and angst has caused this band to take flight quickly. Within months, the band has played at venues such as The Asbury Lanes, The Saint and the 4th Annual 2009 Wave Gathering Music Festival held on Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park. The band members and some of their influences are:
David Castaño (Guitar/Vocals) – the Bouncing Souls, Bad Brains, Circle Jerks, JFA, Dead Kennedys, Sublime, Fertil Miseria (Colombia), and the Specials.
Dave Maldonado (Bass/Vocals) - Primus, Blink-182, the Bouncing Souls, Metallica, Green Day, Bad Brains, and the Misfits.
Omar Rodriguez (Drums/Vocals) – the Bouncing Souls, IxRxAx (Colombia), Minor Threat, NOFX, TSOL, Black Flag, Gorilla Biscuits.
