'So I am a stone'

I am here for Friends

About Me

I have lots of 'titles' in my life - wife, mother of adult children, registered nurse, friend, neighbor. I have lots of 'stuff' I enjoy - canoeing, biking, (I even did my first triathlon in 2005) scrapbooking, hiking, quilting, camping. This winter, I've revived an old love - knittingBut some more important words that describe me are forgiven, free, child of God, Christian. As I walk through the second 50 years of my life, I've decided to use this space to stay in contact with students/adults I've worked with in my church, and to be available to whatever God calls me to do with this site.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Kids/adults I've worked with, whether in my church youth program or at retreats, etc. Other believers, those with questions about a relationship with Christ who wish to truely dialogue (as opposed to argue). Those who love the Boundary Waters as much as I do. Quilters :) Other middle aged people who are equally as addicted to "Project Runway" as I am. Those who are thinking about doing their first triathlon and are scared to death. Others that bleed Green and Gold....Those who love Debbie Macomber books.

My Blog

Fall and Go Boom

The good thing about the title of this blog is, I am not the one that fell. Now, about the bad thing.... It was a windy spring day. Lisa put on her new biking gear, and thought it would be a great day...

The Virgin Tour

Took "Maddie" (the new bike) out for the first ride yesterday. It was just INCREDIBLE to be back outside, riding away in the spring coolness. The new bike is great from the waist down. However, I will...

Its a girl!

Well, the blog title alone should have brought several of you to my page. It IS a girl, and her name is Madeleine. She's a Terry, and she's the only thing keeping me out of the doldrums after Brett an...

Who are you voting for?

I came down this AM to a message on my answering machine from my good friend, Sandi. Our presidential primary is tomorrow in the good state of Wisconsin, and she was encouraging me to vote for the can...

Women’s retreat speakers needed

Yes indeed, it's that time of year. I'm busily working on things for the upcoming women's retreat. That means that a) I'm trying to stand back and let God do the moving and shaking and b) That means I...

Haven’t died yet :)

If you haven't heard from me, and wondered "What's up with her?," I promise you, it's all about me, not you. Hurt my back just before Thanksgiving, and have been struggling with pain and rehab issues...

HELP!

Ok all you computer geeks out there, help me! How do I switch the lighthouse motif off of the one part of my page, so I can make it match the Packer part? I promise I'll switch back after the Super Bo...

Chili-and some bull :)

I love good, old-fashioned fun. A night out with friends, doing something silly or fun, add a good meal and I'm content. All of those requirements and more were met tonight at our church's chili cook ...

The Joys of Day Surgery

Well, it's been an interesting week. I've experienced something I've never had the 'pleasure' (I use the term loosely) of before. I spent part of my day Monday having 'day surgery.' In the olden days,...

Gone fishing

Have you ever ended up somewhere and said, "WHAT am I doing here?" That's what happened to me today, as I sat on the South Shore of Devils Lake, casting my bait into the water yet again, trying to br...
