Swyrl

About Me

Swyrl was founded in 1998 by lead guitarist Eric Kranz, who was joined shortly after by his brother Mark. The 2 brothers are the Driving force behind this amazing band!
In 1999 the original lineup won “Buffaloes Best Original Band”. In 2003 the lineup changed drastically to bring in the talent of a new bass player Mark Weikenger. In 07 more changes have been made to include new Drummer Kyle Estes. Each member of the band is very talented and has unique qualities that contribute to the overall sound of SWYRL.
Since then they have gone on to win over a large base of devoted fans and have had the opportunity to play some amazing shows! In March 2006 Swyrl competed in the New York International Music Festival and won. In 2006 they blew away the crowd at the St Patrick’s Day festival in Savannah, GA. Festival staff and onlookers were so impressed that they were immediately booked for the New Years Eve bash held in Savannah where they played for well over 3000 people. They continue to play these 2 shows and this years St. Patrick's Day show was a record breaker, with over 600,000 people attending.
Swyrl’s music is currently being played on several radio stations including Rock 106.1 and 95.1 in Savannah, GA, 98X Charleston, SC, 94.5 Kwine Ukiah, CA, and several indie and internet stations. Their music has also been featured on several TV commercials on NBC.
Swyrl is currently preparing to record their 3rd album, which will be a full length CD. They are seeking a label to produce their latest work. Their latest songs are already a big hit at their shows.
