Seventh Street Muzyk

About Me

Seventh Street Muzyk started in 1972 on Seventh Street, Greenwich (Farm) Town, Kingston, Jamaica by Lloyd Jackson & O'Neil Nanco. Their first production, a 7 inch single "In Times Like These" By Lloyd Jackson & The Groovers, distributed by Dynamic Records which did fairly well. The label went quiet for a while due to financial difficulties but came to life in the early 90's by their love for the music. Both Lloyd and O'Neil started writing, arranging and rehearsing and released 2 singles in '96 on the Roots Tradition Label titled "Another Love" & "Tell Me Why" by Lloyd Jackson & Sev'n Street. In '97 "Way Back Home" by Lloyd Jackson & Sev'n Street made its appearance on the Seventh Street Muzyk label, followed by the cover "Love Won't Let Me Wait" by Lloyd Jackson which has been getting some attention especially from Japan. Jackson & Street released another cover, Delroy Wilson's "True Believer In Love" getting a mild reception from the music consumers. In 2006 came 3 releases on the Studio 1 "Tonight" rhythm with Lloyd Jackson's version of "Tonight", "Torn Love Affair" by Steve Tulloch and "Youth Go Mek A Try" by U-Mykes. All 3 singles enjoyed generous airplays throughout the Jamaica with steady sales. I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
