Pedro, Ozzy Acevedo & Dez looking for a drummer and a singer happened to meet Eric & Paul at a Bloodbath show in Polaski park in 1990 and hook up and start the band "Outrage". They play a Holyoke High School show and break up. 6 months later Eric, Pedro & Dez end up stuck in a snowstorm at Holyoke Community College and talk about getting the band back together. Dez, Pedro, Eric & Paul meet at yet another Bloodbath show and talk things over and then Impact was born. They write 5 songs in one day and record them which became what they called "The Bat Demo". They decided to recruit Chris O'Donnell and the line up was completed for their first show on Sunday August 18th 1991 @ The Legendary "Katina's" in Hadley MA with Putrid Decay & Lachrymator. After the show Paul received a letter from a lawyer threatening them to pay $1000 because there was another band called Impact....hence the name IMPAKT. They played many shows in the short time they were together opening for big acts like: The Outpatients, Murphy's Law, Scatterbrain, Ugly Kid Joe, Wargasm, Demolition Hammer & Wrecking Crew. And local acts like: Spoke(which featured Paul from Shadows Fall), Brite Side, Hard Silence, Overcast(which featured Mike from Killswitch Engage & Brian from Shadows Fall), Sam Black Church, Roach Grind, Mortal Punishment, Oozing Scabs & many more. On May 5th 1992 they decided to call it quits due to conflict of interest but they have remained the best of friends. From them came: Stealth Mode, Draw Back, The Mighty Sturgeon, Money Penney & many many more.
