DJAY VEGAS

Born in 1983, Vegas’ rap and vocal careers began in 1990 at his local church in the choir. Brought up in North St. Louis, Vegas has seen a lot and been through a lot. When his parent’s split up and both eventually left him with his uncle, Vegas poured his pain and joy into his music. What differentiates Vegas from the norm is his ability to rap and sing which he blends into his music. Although Nelly has made the sing-song style of rap popular, Vegas brings a different genre of hip-hop that stands out from the rest. He boats an impressive amount of performances with local artists that include: Rucka Puff, Joka, Capo G, Capelli, Baby Huey, X-tc, and The Allstars. He also had a performance with Twista in 2004.
