Time to get serious about my profile.
My name is Michael. I'm married to a beautiful woman named Susan. We've been together for 24years, married for 16. I am who I am today because of her. I could not be more proud of anything in my life than I am of her.
We've had an adventuresom life. Both raised in Northern Illinois. I moved to California in 81 with Susan's brother and Susan came out in 83 to visit, and we've been together since. We did the California thing to the hilt. Sailing,scuba diving, hiking and camping in the high desert and fell in love. When I had to start listening to the traffic reports on how to get to work we both decided to get back to a little more country life. My family had retired to the mountians in North Carolina, so away we went. Country we wanted and country we got. A 20'x20' log cabin about three miles from the Blue ridge Parkway at about 3000ft. Moved closer to town shortly there after as a gallon of milk was 45min away. I did roofing and heavy equipment for 12years there. The work got further and further away as the area was mostly tourist. The mountians were great and we made a life there but making a living there was hard. We heard that Nashville was growing and after doing a bunch of research we packed up the whole family, parents and sisters family and here we are for the last 11years. Somewhere along the way I learned to work with wood. I have a modest woodshop and do mostly flatwork, quiltchests, coffeetables,endtables, wineracks and have done a few custom winecellars. But what I enjoy the most is woodturning. You can see some of my work in my pics section. I'll be posting more soon. May God bless you and yours.
