About Me

For Facebook, click this!

I'm normally a private person but I know how important it is to learn about a person from their own words. Thus, the launch of this myspace page.
I am an American-Thai. I say American first because I was born and raised in the United States my entire life (more specifically, I have been a Californian since 1981). My roots are of Thai decent (both my parents came from Thailand). Sadly, being raised in the U.S. has literally given me little to no linkage to my origins of being Thai. However, at the same time, I am proud to be every bit of American as the next person.
An interesting thing about being of Thai decent is that my true/legal name is fairly unique (too unique to post in MySpace). The name "Pete" is more often used in my day-to-day life, including among family and relatives. (In the Thai community, nearly everyone's name is either unique or just plain too long that nicknames are often used).
I try to live life everyday with a positive attitude and a sense of balance in everything I do. My ultimate goal in life is to live happily (although I still seek the special lady to help complete this), regardless of what I have or have not.
Some of the other things in my life I have learned...
-Everything in life should never be viewed in one perspective.
-There will always be something to learn and struggle with.
-I believe there always exists hope and solutions in any circumstance or situation and it is often a matter of finding answers to questions.
Some notable quotes I value toward life:
"The important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well. To spread these precepts is to build up a stronger and more valiant and, above all, more scrupulous and generous humanity."
-Baron Pierre de Coubertin, Founder of the Modern Olympic Games
"We all do better when we work together. Our differences do matter but our common humanity matters more."
-William Jefferson Clinton, 42nd President of the United States

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Pretty much anyone, regardless of their fame, wealth, or power. When all is said and done, death does not choose upon a person's status. In the end, we are all equals in life and I would rather prefer to meet as many people I can while I am still alive.
