HISTORIQUE:C'est dans les coulisses du studio Smom (Paris) que the FunkyColor, groupe formé par Hakim et David a vu le jour.
Ces deux protagonistes issus de la banlieue parisienne ont su marier à la fois le moderne et le traditionnel ainsi que l'urbanisme et l'éthnique.Ce duo est très complémentaire , l'un maîtrise les instruments accoustiques ( guitare, piano, batterie, percussions basse), l'autre est plus focalisé sur les aspects techniques(djing,mastering etc...) pour former un dosage subtil de différents styles.
The funkyColor explore des domaines musicaux très éclectiques et offre une alchimie entre différents genres tels que la House, Funk,Soul et la Worl Music.
La touche orientale fait l'intensité du groupe relevé par des rythmiques très dansantes.LES DEUX NOYAUXHakim : il a baigné dans un environnement musical très divers et a côtoyé à ses débuts Yann Destagnol (groupe Modjo) dans plusieurs groupes de funkrock.
Il a également multiplié les concerts en tant que percussionniste avec le duo Kore et Skalp en 2004.
Il a par la suite fait différents rencontres lui permettant de réaliser ce projet.
Notamment, avec Kada (compositeur de Khaled) qui a collaboré sur le titre "Alaoui Mood".
David : dj depuis de nombreuses années, il a évolué dans différents lieux de la capitale dont actuellement le"Paù Brasil" à deux pas des Champs Elysées.BONNE écoute...////.... It's in the corridors in the Smom studio in Paris that the band FunkyColor, created by Hakim and David was born.
These two young men coming from the suburb of Paris succeeded in marrying modern and traditional music as well as urbanism and ethnicity.
This duo is complementary, one of them masters the use of accoustic instruments such as the guitar, the piano, the drums, percussions bass guitar, and the other are knows more about the technological aspects of music(djing,mastering etc...)in order to get a subtle result of the different styles.
The FunkyColor band explores musical fields which ares very ecletic and offers a sort of a alchemy between different styles such as House music , Soul music, Funk music and World music.
The oriental touch characterizes the group as well as rythmics which makes you want to dance.
The two main protagonists:Hakim who has always been surrounded whith different types of music was very closed to Yann Destagnol(from the band Modjo) when he started, he was also in several other funkrock bands.
He has also played in several concerts as a percussionist whith Kore et Skalp in 2004.
Then, he met different people who allowed him to realise his projet, with Kada (the composer of Khaled) who took part in the title "Alaoui Mood".
