She lives in Nashville, but don’t call her country. She’s young and beautiful, but she’s hardly teen pop. In fact, for those who think it’s all been done before,who say there is nothing new out there these days, the music of Mandy KenKnight serves a distinct purpose; to prove you wrong. As unique as her name, Mandy KenKnight blends a warm, rich voice with songs that absolutely rock. “I sing songs that mean something to me,” she says. “If I truly love the song and the message in it, then I can deliver it with conviction on stage, and people feel that.” She delivers in the studio as well. In her latest project, with the help of artist/writer/producer John Rich, of Big and Rich, and German rocker Jan Stolpe, Mandy has truly found herself. The project shows both versatility and consistency, combining driving rock grooves with lyrics that have meaning. So what’s kept this Atlanta, Georgia native in the Country Music capital of the world? Mandy has worked nearly 12 years now for Faith Hill, most of that time as her Personal Assistant. “Working with Faith has given me the opportunity to see this industry from the inside, and to learn from one of the most successful women in the business.” Mandy may learn from Faith, but she is truly one of a kind. Her performance balances musical intensity with a captivating, fun-loving personality that draws everyone in and shows them a great time. “I love interacting with people in the audience. The point is for everyone to enjoy themselves.” Mandy has spent much time performing all over the Southeast. She is a featured performer at the Nashville Predators' hockey games, where she consistently gets crowds of 17,000 up and on their feet.
