Euricka, New Orleans First Lady Of Hip Hop & R& B. Has given New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz another claim to fame. By being the first female solo artist to land strong on the industry map. Starting out as a young girl singing in the church, Euricka has always had love for music and performance, "I always wanted to entertain and make people happy", she says. Performing internationally, including Japan, Euricka's stage presence and overall performance skills will definitely be a key to her longevity. Commanding the stage at some of the hottest music venues around, such as the annual Essence Music Festival and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festivals has earned her "The Golden Child" title by many enthused fans. Most recently in support of our troops headed to Iraq, Euricka's farewell performance in Forthood, Texas left the crowd in cheers. Growing up in the Calliope Housing projects is a far cry from where Euricka is now. Though she was raised hard, she was also raised strong.
