About Me

Midgefest 2008 is Yorkshires newest open air event which is fully licensed to run from midday until 10pm on Saturday 9th August. We have a reasonably priced bar and quality food van on site. Over 15 groups will perform over 2 Stages and will be a showcase for new and emerging bands as well as having high profile headliners such as Goldie Lookin Chain (GLC) and local up and coming band Sky Larkin. This definitely promises to be an event worth seeing!
Midgefest was established in 2006 and has grown in popularity over the last 2 years. Since our first concert to present our numbers have tripled which has now enabled us to pull in high profile bands such as GLC which have not previously been seen in Wakefield...

Will be bigger and better than ever. This year there will be 2 stages featuring bands all day. There will also be beer + food served throughout the day.

- No refunds other than cancellation of the event.
- Artists and billed attractions may be subject to change.
- Under 16’s must be accompanied by over 18’s.
- Children of 12 and under are free but must be accompanied by a paying adult. A child ticket must be produced, these are available at request,please email [email protected]
- No re-admission. Tickets are non-transferable.
- In order to facilitate the security, safety and comfort of all guests the Promoter reserves the right to evict or refuse admission and refund the ticket value.
- Festival Promoters are unable to accept liability for personal damages, losses or injuries sustained at this event - including damage and losses to property and motor vehicles - if the cause is due to the negligence of the ticket holder or the actions of other patrons.
- The Promoter will not issue duplicate tickets for lost or stolen tickets.
- Tickets are only valid when purchased from www.midgefest.co.uk. Tickets bought from other sources will be refused admission.
- Entry will only be permitted on production of valid tickets. Tickets are only valid when presented in full. Tickets defaced or otherwise incomplete will not be accepted for admission.
- Strictly no trading allowed within the venue without the Promoter’s consent.
- As a condition of sale, ticket holders consent to being filmed or sound recorded for TV, Video, DVD, Webcast or other public broadcast as part of the audience or by security CCTV.
- Disabled Facilities are available.
- Please use the litter bins and recycling points provided on site. Please do not drop litter on the way to and from the venue.
- The following items may not be brought in to the venue: Illegal Substances, Portable Laser Equipment and Pens, Air Horns, Spray Cans, Fireworks and Flares. All Items will be confiscated.
- You may be body searched at the entrance. Any item(s), which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon, will be confiscated.
- Persons suspected of carrying items that may be used in an offensive or dangerous manner, or carrying out illegal activities within the arena or other parts of the site may be searched.
- Excessive amounts of food and cigarettes may be refused entry to the site. Please only bring enough for personal consumption.
- The following items may not be brought in to the arena: Alcohol, Drinks Bottles and Cans.
- Sealed water bottles 500ml and under and food for personal consumption may be brought in to the arena.
- Anyone resisting confiscation of disallowed items or disregarding these conditions will face eviction.
- No animals other than guide dogs are permitted on site.
- Fires are not permitted in the arena. The burning of plastics are not permitted anywhere on site. Throwing gas, aerosol or similar canisters or containers on to fires is extremely dangerous and will lead to eviction from site.
- To protect your own safety and those of other guests, please act responsibly.
- WARNING: EXCESSIVE EXPOSURE TO LOUD MUSIC MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO YOUR HEARING
