About Me

Single dad with 3 children (1 full time and 2 part time) who continuously remind of why I think they are the most impressive humans I've ever met.(biased much?) My oldest has been with me since she was 1. She's now 12. I've married twice and have 2 kids from my second marriage. Separated from wife #2 for about 18mos but not yet divorced. I see my 2 youngest almost every weekend but I miss them terribly when they are gone. I lost 85lbs in '06 and maintained that through '07. Unfortunately, I have gained more than I care to mention since November, specifically Thanksgiving. I have been back on the grind and have shed 10, it's a start. My car is 18 years old and by no means a classic. My oldest daughter and I have a small one bedroom where my room is a futon in the living room. From my next place on, there will be a dishwasher. My job is the lowest paying that I've had in 10 years. I work 40 to 50 hours a week and for the last month have been taking a class that requires 12 hours attendance per week, and at least 2 to 3 hours of home study every night. All for a new job that will pay great but I have absolutely no guarantee of getting. Somewhere in there, I do the laundry, pay bills, cook, clean(as much as possible - it's been better I will admit), and try to spend as much time with my kids as I can. Needless to say, I sleep about 3 - 5 hours a night. I grew up very sheltered in a religious environment. By the time I struck out on my own I had become very close minded and self righteous. It led to a lot of poor decisions and poor behavior on my part. I am terribly addicted to cigarettes and even though I hate them, they are a great source of stress relief. I never dreamed I would be where I am now, so when I say that I'm happy where I'm at, it's not because I am satisfied with the above mentioned, it's that for the first time in my life, I am my truest self. Through hard work and therapy, I have shed a lot of the confusion of my past. So I think that it is fitting that having lived what I believe to be half of my life, I am essentially back at square one. Even though I have a long way to go, I am optimistic about the second half of my life, regardless of how things are now, as I have proven that starting with myself I have the ability to right some wrongs. //I try to have fun when I can. Music is a big part of my life. I am still very much the same kid that picked up his sisters guitar at the age of 12. I really enjoy the music I make. I golf as much as possible as it is the greatest game of all time. I like watching the same movie repeatedly until I can quote it at will. It would be a dream come true to write a movie of my own. I truly love my friends and my children. I couldn't be happier with either. ------------------------------------------------------- I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

I love extreme sports. The X-Games are the greatest thing since the Winter Olyimpics. Skijumping is the original extreme sport and I love it. This video starts with the new World Record ski jump - it's incredible.

Music:

While country has some of the greatest musicians, it makes my blood boil with hate. Having said that, one of my favorite albums is Cloudsplitter, Songs For Elva, A country album put out by my buddy Kevin "Banks" Malone. Hip hop makes me cringe and nauseous but RunDMC's Run Like Hell was one of my favorite albums. I play primarily metal but I am lost when it comes to the "metal" image. I am over any scene so if that's what the music sells, I already hate it, despite how good it might be. Maybe I'll just say....I don't know.

Movies:

Shows like Bobby Jones - Stroke of Genius, the Greatest Game Ever Played, Thunderheart, Bill and Teds 1 and 2, the Wizard of Oz, North By Northwest, all the Harry Potters, the Incredibles, Galaxy Quest, Mystery Alaska, Point Break, True Romance, the Predator series including AVP, the Kill Bills, Prime Time and the Kentucky Fried Movie, the Great Waldo Pepper, Liar Liar, Spaceballs, The Pirates of the Caribbean series, Walk the Line, Top Gun("...carnal knowledge, of a woman this time..."), Coming to America, Jackie Chan's work, Tommy Boy, Dragon - the story of Bruce Lee, and of course the greatest movie of all time: TOTAL RECALL(What about the guy you lobotomized, did he get a refund?) Just saw Blades of Glory...yes.

Television:

TPT, that's channel 2, Nova, Antiques Roadshow, etc. Love the Science Channel and Discovery Channels. Conan O'Brian. Golf. Vikes.

Books:

Jack London was a favorite when I was young. I enjoyed the Four Agreements, but the Mastery of Love was excruciatingly nice. James Frey's, A Million Little Pieces was great and I don't give a rats ass what the exact details were, it speaks to something else. Yeager - Chuck Yeager's autobiography. Currently reading; Small Stakes Hold'em and The Way of the Peaceful Warrior.

Heroes:

Kameron, Bailey, Jackson,Walter Borgan, Ryan Ranney, Tiger Woods, Matt Hoffman, Ski Jumpers worldwide

Therapy

For the first time in my life, I'm going to therapy to actually learn about myself.  It's pretty simple, really.  I just talk about my life.  All of the good, and of course, all of the...
