....****OFFICIAL SITE WWW.AMBERDAHL.COM ****I started back '99 in NYC, completely green and wide-eyed. With nothing but nerve, a drive and a big dream, I decided I was going to give it a try in one of the hardest markets to make it in-as an actress & model. Within 3 months, I landing my first job doing a national commercial. From there it was a fast uphill climb in this crazy, exciting business I love so much! Therefore, all of my training and most of my experience is when I was in NYC. I feel fortunate, grateful and honored to experience as much as I have in NYC, and here in Portland.
I did it backwards by going to the Big Apple first, getting that sweet taste of success, and then going onto a smaller market. Why did we move back you ask? Candidly, we moved back to Portland because my then husband worked in the World Trade Center. Understanding even more so the preciousness of life, I wanted to not only regroup as a family, but to spend as much time as I could with my ailing grandparents. I am thankful we made that decision as I had 2 wonderful years with them before their passing.I do dream of the day again when I can move back to that exciting, fascinating, life. If I can do it once, I can do it again. Who knows what lies ahead. But will I continue to have faith that someday, somehow, I will get that opportunity that takes me back to NYC-or wherever- continuing to do what I love, and where my soul thrives. Even so, I appreciate the journey I am on!! With no regrets, I look forward with a vengeance, continuing my pursuit of tasting that sweet taste of success again. Right now, I'm running as far, and hard as I can here in Portland, loving the opportunities and success. It is very different here in Portland I must admit, but I'm very grateful I can continue to work, and dream. With my solid foundation, drive, huge support and encouragement from my family and friends, I know anything is possible. I deeply appreciate what I have been given and I cherish my wonderful life!
Just because I am hired as "talent" doesn't mean you wont see me helping out with hair/make-up, wardrobe, crafts table, getting drinks & snacks for the crew, or helping wherever is needed on the set. I will do whatever it takes to get the job done quickly, and done right as I believe in team work. No egotistical or prima donna here! I understand the meaning of time & money, therefore, I work with proficiency keeping things moving smoothly and fast, while demanding myself to keep things productive. I'm very professional, respectful, having strong work ethics, and I always welcome suggestions and direction. I like to have fun on the set because I believe when having fun, that energy & spark gets captured, creating magic before your eyes on camera!
