Son Of The Sun
This started of as a project witch was supposed to be the creative result of Tomas’s musical drive. Tomas started writing songs in 2004, when he was inspired by Arjen A. Lucassens music. In 2006 he recorded his first solo demo “On The Edge Of Creativity†witch included 3 songs very different from anything he had ever done. The response was good and the urge to make more songs grew. Tomas recorded one new song during 2007 called “Master & Slave†witch got even better response than his first demo. Slowly the project drifted towards becoming an actual band and he then was joined by Robert (drums) and Dan (guitar). The threesome became, what now is Son Of The Sun. Robert and Dan were already familiar with the project/band as they were a part of it from day one. This is not the first time these three rock together. Tomas and Robert played in a band called Nightborn in the late 90..s and early 2000. After Nightborn was put to rest Tomas and Dan rocked their ass off in a band called Reincarnation for a few years. Meanwhile the whole threesome played in an In Flames-coverband called Inheritance for about 2 years.
In late 2007 Tomas started working on some new tunes witch in a very early stage proved to be on a whole other level than his previous creations. During 2008 the threesome recorded 3 killer songs witch ended up becoming a great success among friends and family, both lyrically and musically. “As The World Cries Through My Eyes†was released on the 6th of March 2009. Tomas is already working on new songs witch from the looks of it, will turn out to be even better than his previous work. Stay tuned for some killer licks in late 2009. As the sun sets and the darkness emerge…
