DJ Tanaken
DJ TANAKEN, a member of SOMA TOH / BACKGAMMON, has also worked extensively as a producer for numerous recording artists, including DABO, RINO LATINA II, RAPPAGARIYA, MINESIN-HOLD, HIME, YAMAARASHI, GDX, and RYO the SKYWALKER.
In 2002, he released "GUERRILLA GROWING PLATINUM," a compilation album featuring artists RAPPGARIYA, UBG (led by ZEEBRA), DABO, RYO the SKYWALKER, CORN HEAD, MACCHO, and GAKI RANGER.
The album was the first to use the ONE WAY hip hop compilation album style, which has each guest artist create their own song over the same beats.
His second ONE WAY project, "STILL GROWING,* came in April of 2006, and showed DJ TANAKENs ability to expand his capabilities as a musician. The album included underground artists DABO, MACCHO (for OZROSAURUS), and RINO LATINA II, as well as singers KEN-U and TINA.
DJ TANAKEN is also a club DJ, performing overseas in countries like Taiwan and China. He is currently preparing to release his first solo album.
