Myspace BackgroundsSalutations, humans. I have been around since you dreamed your first nightmare, but I was never given a name until Raphael Lemkin coined the word in describing the acts of Adolf Hitler concerning the Jews and Gypsies. I am Genocide, the worst of all crimes against humanity. I am happiest when God turns His back, and you slaughter yourselves by the hundreds of thousands. You delight me in how you divide yourselves into nations, then viciously murder the children of the world for the sake of national and racial purity. Where was your God in Auschwitz in 1943? Where was he when the Khmer Rouge ruled Cambodia in the late-1970's? Did He raise a finger to stop the carnage in Rwanda in that bloody spring of 1994? I have come to MySpace to delight you with my best work, to show you the pride I have taken in concocting newer and more cruel ways you can murder one another in your attempt to wipe whole races of man off the globe. I laugh at your piety. You take the very technology you could use to save yourselves from me, and you end up using it for my own pernicious ends. You could turn your back to me any time you wish; instead, you continue to kill one another for such petty causes such as race, nation, and religion. You are all brothers, and I giggle with joy when you make enemies with one another for no good reason. The louder you chant of a minority being subhuman, the hungrier I get. The more you call your brothers vermin, the more I salivate.
“Our strength lies in our intensive attacks and our barbarity...After all, who today remembers the genocide of the Armenians?” -Adolf Hitler"Our strength lies in our intensive attacks and our barbarity...After all, who today remembers the genocide of the Armenians?" -Adolf Hitler“In their greatest hour of need, the world failed the people of Rwanda.” -Kofi Annan"The only good Indian is a dead Indian" -US Army General Philip Sheridan, 1869.I encourage you to take a look at my handiwork, for as sure as I am typing this, consider this a mirror, and look upon yourselves. This is the state of humanity, a spoiled brat of a species with a death wish. For all your growth over the last seven milennia, for all your technology and theology, for all the sheer Hell you've gone through and put yourselves through, you still have yet to learn the most basic element of your existence, that you are all brothers. And until you get that through your thick skulls, until you are willing to step out of your narrow and petty ways of thinking, you will never evolve beyond the level of tribal warfare, and you will entertain me to no end as you destroy yourselves in more and more gruesome ways. Keep it up, peoples of the world, I have fed off your blood and have grown fat. After every genocide, you always say never again, but sure as shit, next time you turn around, there I am again. Blame each other for the sins of man, for as long as you point the finger at one another, you do nothing to solve the issue. These days I am dancing in the Sudan, and look, there I am in the Congo. Where will I be next week, next year? Sri Lanka? Germany? Burundi? The United States? Wherever nationalism and racism reign supreme, wherever a minority is deemed enemies of the state, wherever I hear human beings referred to as cockroaches, it's just a matter of time before I dance again.
“I want you to know that everything I did, I did for my country.” -Pol Pot
