About Me

Vince de Villa Vicencio is truly a renaissance man in the true meaning of the word. A world traveler, spending many years living abroad and studying in Europe, primarily Germany. He studied several cultures and religions while on his global journey. He has lived in Central America, Europe, the Carribean, Croatia, Yugoslavia, the middle east, and other less known republics. He spent many years traveling the globe fighting battles and wars as a member of the armed forces. A true Knight in word and deed. Eccentric at times, but whether holding a rifle or a guitar; this skilled warrior gets the job done.Hailing from a musical and artistic family. It wasn't long before he tried his skill at drawing, painting, and playing different musical instruments. Early years were primarily filled with medieval 15th century classical music, Primarily Antonio Vivaldi. It was during this time that he began incorporating classical themes with Rock music and later on with Goth and progressive metal. Musical Background: Bass Viol: First Bassist Hialeah High School Orchestra. Florida All State music competition. Double Bass, First Bassist, Competitions and special projects, University of Miami Orchestra. Quartet and Classical Vivaldi Trio consisting of Bass Viol, Piano, Violin. He also played the Cello for a while. He likes Bach, Mozart, and Vivaldi.500 years have elapsed since the classical masters first rosined up their violin bows. A newer style of music fascinated him now. He started studying the early musical styles of jazz, blues, rock, and metal. His playing was now influenced by the Beatles, Cream, Hendrix, Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica and a host of other blues/rock and heavy metal bands. He likes the Black Sabbath style of music along with DIO, Type O Negative, Metallica, Tool, and the galloping speed of Iron Maiden. Current Project: Getting ready for 2009 summer music festivals. Recording studio, New songs, new recordings, prepare for the next Metal mission.Military Background: Drill Sergeant, Air Assault, Airborne, Paratrooper, Jumpmaster, and too many more to mention here.Past Events and Affiliations: Vince has played bass with several Bands and groups throughout the years. My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Geezer Butler Steve Harris John Paul Jones Paul McCartney My inner self and Cliff Burton when I get to the other side. I did meet Cliff and his guardian angel in a dream. Cliff is still grinning, joking around, and still an overall ham, though I don't know why he is now playing a white, square shaped bass? He looks good in the light with that crazy hair of his. R.I.P. bro.

My Blog
