OUT NOW TDK 021!
In 1997 I started making music. The first stuff I did was more broken jungle tracks with 4/4 beats. My studio setup was an Ensoniq ASRX sampler and an Atari ST for sequencing. Inspiration came from early DHR/PCP records.
In 1998 I started to make music with Dieter from TDK sound-system. Our sound was more tribal and acid influenced. Together we made TDK 1 to 4 , Mononom Records 4 and played loads of cool live-sets. After a while we stopped making music together.
Since then I started making tracks alone, which I released on the TDK label.
In 2001 I got an artist benefit from the government which allowed me to stop working and focus on making music and playing live-sets in Europe mostly on ..teknivals... My studio and live gear grew from an almost digital to an almost analog setup. I really love the sound of old synthesizers and drum machines.
The music I make now is played and mixed live, this results in more events just happening making the music flow more. My new addiction is modular synthesis; to create your own analog synthesizer out of different modules using patch cables is truly amazing.
The sound has changed, but the aim is still the same....make music without restrictions!
