The World We Have Lost

About Me

This page is dedicated to the Dream Into Dust album The World We Have Lost. It was released in 1999 by Misanthropy Records subsidiary Elfenblut (also home to Blood Axis, Endvra, Hagalaz’ Runedance, Amber Asylum, and others).
Due to a combination of the label announcing a cessation of activities prior to its release time and subsequent distribution problems, the CD itself has remained elusive. Despite this, the music has garnered praise and fans in underground circles, crossing boundaries between industrial, gothic, metal, classical and neo-folk. It currently fetches exorbitant prices as a special-order import on various online shops. In response, the band has purchased back most of the last remaining copies, which are for sale in our mailorder .
After noticing many Myspace friends expressing their appreciation for the album, we decided to devote a page to it. Fans of the album can leave comments about it, hear some favorite tracks, and add them to their pages, while those unfamiliar with it can listen to excerpts here. The streaming mp3s are only a taste of the true sounds on the 50-minute disc, which are mostly crossfaded for an intense continuous listening experience. To hear the whole album, order one of the last copies .
Thanks to all those who have supported the band and this album.
"We move towards the future, but do not forget the past."
