Started in 2001, Midwest Mobstaz started off as a extension of the famous mixtape, Straight Up Gangsta Shit. It showcased the hottest rappers from out the Midwest. The first volume featured such artists as Twista, CWAL Mob, Psychodrama, CCA, and formally introduced Ric Jilla as a major player in tha game. After soundscanning over 30,000 copies with no radio airplay, it spawned sequels which were well recieved throughout the region. Now with the Block Edition, we taking this Midwest Gangsta Shit to Anotha Level.
