ABOUT LYNDA: Lynda has been a harpist , flutist, and vocalist for many years. On flute, she prefers an improvisational style, and enjoys playing music ranging from latin, mellow jazz, New Age, blues, and world beat music.
In 2006 she collaborated with Jan Michael Looking Wolf, a Native American flutist, on a meditative cd featuring herself on soprano, alto, and bass silver flutes, harp and vocals, Jan on native flutes and vocals, Keith Sommers on guitar and as the recording engineer, and Leta Lillard on congas.This cd is a peaceful yet powerful journey through exquisitely varied music. It won an award for Best CD of the Year in the Native Spirit Category at the Indian Summer Music Awards in 2007, as will as finalist for Best Song, New Age Category at the Independent Music Awards 2007, and the Best Song, Open Instrumental Category at the International Accoustic Music Awards 2007.
On harp Lynda plays a variety of styles from a few classical, celtic, and Renaissance pieces, to latin, blues, New Age,original world music, and singer-songwriter music.
Her latest CD "Where Our Waters Meet" was released in January 2008.This CD features Lynda on harp, soprano, alto, and bass silver flutes, Native American flutes, and voice, along with Keith Sommers on guitar, synthesizer,percussion and as recording engineer, Catima Biersdorff on world percussion, with special guest artists Jami Sieber on electric cello and Dale Innskeep on mandolin.This CD is relaxing yet spicy including hints of Spain, South American, and the Middle East in Lynda's unique original style.
Lynda is working on her third CD, "We Are Fire" which features her singer-songwriter music on harp, flutes and voice, to be finished hopefully by mid-2008!
Lynda performs as a solo act, as well as playing with a variety of world musicians.
