Nils Nürnberg is a 26 year old producer from Hamburg who first got in touch with electronic music in 1997. He started off with spinning Drum&Bass records and managed to land a residency in one of Hamburg’s better underground clubs called Location 2, but claims that John Digweed’s Global Underground Sydney, from 1998, changed his world, and that house was the way forward after that…good work Diggers!
So, skip forward a few years, and now fully dedicated to deep, groovy, electronic house music, he’s normally holed up in the Force Sense studio with his mate and sometimes production partner, OM Records signed Florian Kruse (Kruse & Nürnberg). Together they produced ’Sunrises’ featuring award winning Canadian folk singer Tamara Nile (Released 2007 on Slip’N’Slide with Lifelike Remixes). As part of Kruse & Nürnberg he has remixed for Svenson & King (Solebango-2007) and now the team has a remix in the pipeline of Trentemöller’s ’25 Timer’ on Kickin Records.
Nürnberg apparently tries to have as many things going at the same time as possible. He is the producer behind the duo Gruber & Nürnberg and their first release on “Four Seasons EPâ€), is out on DIYNamic Records, and was recently voted Record Of The Month in DJ Magazin. “Words of Comfort EP“ is out soon on the Wordandsound owned label WasNotWas, and the pair recently had a release (“Our Feeling) on Matthias Tanzmann’s new but already highly respected Lorna label (LORNA05).
Also, the remix of Hausmann C’s ‘Love on the Street’ (Fresh Fish 06) found lot’s of friends around the globe and was already played by Jimpster, James Mowbray, Josh Wink, Laurent Garnier, just to name a few.
Together with Holger Brauns (Force Sense), who production wise was always kind of a mentor to him, he’s releasing “Delicious†on über-trendy label Liebe*Detail, and as if that was not enough, recently Kruse & Nürnberg also started their own online label “Save Room Recordings“. “Save Room†will be their home base and they are now in the process of negotiating deals for forthcoming releases to schedule alongside some of their own top-notch productions.
