About Me

SILOSONIC

is Producer/Musician/DJ Alex Marsh.

His track "Something (to make you feel alright)" is a very hot re-working of the classic "Breaking Down" which was a hit for Julia & Company way back in the 80's. Alex totally re-vamped it enlisting help from Lowered Recording's Jules Spinner.

It has been completely re-sung by the fabulous Beverley Skeete. Beverley has previously sung with the likes of Chaka Khan, The Orb, and Jamiroquai.

With its funked up groove, hooky vocals and seriously large beats Silosonic has received major DJ support from Hardsoul, Graeme Park, Pete Tong, Allister Whitehead, Andy Van, Mousse T and Stonebridge.

"Something (to make you feel alright)"graced the UK club chart at number 3, charted top 5 the world over, cracking the number 1 spot in the Australian club chart for an amazing 8 consecutive weeks, even reaching their national singles top 40. The track has appeared on an incredible 22 compilations worldwide and continues to be a favourite for DJ's and clubbers alike.

His musical career began at 12 years old when he first picked up a guitar. Inspired by the genius of Jimi Hendrix, and then by the “anyone can do it” ethos of punk, Alex and his guitar could not be separated for years to come. From school bands to gigging the London circuit, Alex honed the art of strumming.

Concurrently he discovered the early warehouse and rave scene, and made some dance demo’s on his simple 4-track recorder. These caught the attention of DJ/Producer Chris Simmonds, who released his first record “Tonight” by Partners In Time. When this was played on Kiss FM Alex was hooked! He went on to have several releases on Chris’s Baby Blue and Cross Section labels, getting support from DJ’s Judge Jules, Paul Anderson and Jazzy M.

So back to the future: his tracks still get support from top DJ's in clubland, and on radio.
