About Me
Alex Gerst is a recognized Dallas Producer/engineer with 25 years experience as a musician, producer, and studio engineer.He's worked with the producers of Nickleback, Godsmack, Wallflowers, Unloco, Papa Roach, New found glory, Avenge Sevenfold, Nine Inch Nails, Tripping Daisy, Stabbing Westward, The Toadies, Sheryl Crow and Dave Matthews, Elton John to name a few.
Alex also has done work for Atlantic,Epic, BMI, MCA, Geffen, Tribunal, and Sony Records just to name a few.
In 1999 Alex decided to start Focusing on producing. He produced and engineered Slow Roosevelt's “Throw away your Stereo†which won album of the year in the 1999 Ft.Worth Music awards.He won the Dallas Local Show Awards in 2001 for the "Producer/Engineer of the Year" for his work on the new Slow Roosevelt album, "Weightless".
Sony Records Signed Slow Roosevelt and released the Album “Weightlessâ€He again won the 2002 Dallas Local Show Awards for "Producer/Engineer of the Year"
2002 Alex produced and engineered South FM on their album “Drama Kidsâ€MCA/Geffen signed South FM and released “Drama Kidsâ€Alex also Wins the Dallas Local awards for 2003& 2004 for Producer of the year and album of the year!2006 Was a busy year for Alex, more bands he produced gets signed, Ivroy Line signs to Tooth and Nail records and Kessler who signed to YMA Records.2007 Alex produced and engineered the Dallas Rock band The Feds, on the new Record called “A touch of panicâ€
