About Me

Griff and Rob met when attending language school in Monterey, California. They started out recording their first effort, "Overshadow," in a dorm room and were known for promoting it around campus by playing random night performances for the drinking crowd. "Overshadow was probably the most personal CD we will ever write," says Rob, "that's probably why people think of it more like a CD to be listened to in total privacy."Circumstances caused the two to part ways, now both living near the East coast, they reunite regularly to record new material. In 2006, they finished their second CD, "The Evil King,"--a reflection on significant events in both of their lives and about a struggle with destructive thoughts that both were trying to overcome. All of the recording was done in Augusta, Georgia in Michaels home studio. "The record is much more mature than our last, and it was designed to be that way. We were so honest that many were shocked at our no-holds-barred sound." Nic Mora, the band's self-proclaimed biggest fan says: "Every time I put in 'Safe to Say,' I can't help but laugh--I mean--all guys have probably felt like they wanted their X to die at some point, but I've never heard it said so upfront!" "The CD is solely acoustic and I think the minimalistic approach to the whole project was both necessary and appropriate," states Rob, "We were trying more to write songs that others could relate to without stooping to writing generically."Rob has picked up piano recently and is currently working out a new sound which he plans to tap into as early as March, when the two get together again. "This time I will insist we do it right," Rob says, "We're going to have a drummer, at least to make a guest appearance on the CD, I will put bass and piano down, and we will be adding violin. Professional studio time is on the horizon in the next two years. We will be redoing selected tracks on 'Overshadow' and 'The Evil King' that we're not pleased with and all three CDs will be available for purchase from the website in the next six months. Good times are coming.""THE ORPHAN TIME & OUR FOUR YEARS"--COMES OUT APRIL 2007.

Wounded is about a girl. What else would you expect me to write about? It certainly is another one of my "happy tunes". This one was one of those songs that just sorta pieced itself together over a lo...

Rob talks about "Forever Dream"

Forever Dream was recorded outside, as the sun was going down.  I gathered a bunch of pretty cliches together and used them for verses.  Then in the chorus, I used sarcasm to express the bit...
