About Me

Myspace Editor
Pimp MySpace

I use myspace to further my interests in music. I love many genres of music and spend a lot of time looking for new bands and old records. Recently I have been getting back into more psychadelic stuff - Gandalf, Russell Morris, Lotus and folk hero Davy Graham have all recently been added to my collection. I used to promote and DJ the now legendary Gun Club in Aberdeen at the citys awesome venue The Tunnels (www.thetunnels.co.uk) and I still promote there a little. The Gun Club and my time as Tunnels manager brought the likes of Malcolm Middleton, Dawn of the Replicants, Ladytron, Terry Reid, The Kooks and Aberfeldy to Aberdeen. If you are interested in a gig in Aberdeen then get in touch.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Instead of who I'd like to meet, I'll say who I would most like to bring to play in Aberdeen. I brought 60's legend Terry Reid to Aberdeen and he is a big hero of mine - the greatest soul voice ever. Check out Superlungs, Dean and Stay With Me Baby to see why Jimmy Page had Terry penciled in to be the original Led Zep singer. The bands I would most like to bring to town next include:Mogwai - one of Scotlands best ever bands - Awesome everytime I have seen them but they haven't played in town for years, despite an awesomely deafening performance in the late-ninties.Super Furry Animals - Just the best of alternative music, I have met them once, they were amazingly stoned, but to bring them to Aberdeen would be an honour.APB - A band based in Aberdeen in the early 80's - I would love to bring them home for a gig - check out their myspace (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewpr ofile&friendid=48324358) - "Shoot You Down" will delight any Rapture/Electro fan - great stuff. These are The Monks - Go find out more about them...
