My nick name is Tyler Leroy Jones the best baseball player that ever lived...or just Leroy. My dad gave me that name when I was four years old in my first season of T-ball. The rest is history. I live in the mountains of Idaho at a place called Camp Perkins. This winter i'm praying for at least five feet of snow up here. It's going to be a sweet winter, no matter what, because my friend Joe and I bought $30 pairs of skiis(sp) and boots to wear while pulling eachother behind snowmobiles and to wear while attempting back country skiing at the camp tubing hill. The stuff that I like to do the most in this world is anything crazy, extreme, cool, fun and sometimes dumb with my friends Aidan, Johannes, Joe, Charlie, and my brothers Tom, Tyson and T-man. These would include Hiking, biking, swimming, Hydro Biking, extreme rope swinging, snowmobiling, tubing, tubing off the Lodge roof at camp, skiing behind trucks and sleds, rock climbing, bouldering(but not too high, right, Johannes?), backpacking, spelunking, kyaking, rafting, sailing and boating in an aluminum canoe down a river that requires kyaks and rafts, we've all got scars to prove that one, mud football, jungle thrashing, Jungle thrashing up Bolder Creek in the Sequoia National Forrest, near Hume Lake, cliff jumping, atv riding, tree climbing, and wilderbeast wrestling. I made up the last one. This stuff is all good and cool, but without the knowledge of the Savior of the whole world, Jesus Christ, it's all vain, garbage. To be honest, most of it is probably still not cool, anyway, but, my statement stands, without the knowledge of our Savior our lives are lived completely in vain. Life isn't even really worth living if we don't have Christ. Until you experience the fullfillment that He brings, you have not fully lived no matter how totally extreme you think you are. A.W. Tozer described salvation through Jesus Christ as an "Open Secret". "'Open' because it's for anyone, the rich, the poor,the broken, the sinner, and the unloved. 'Secret' because only the sincere seeker will find it. 'secret' because most of the world has yet to really believe this most precious of all truths." That's real stuff, right there. Nothing held back. There is not a more solid truth than Jesus Christ. Search for yourself, and see if you can find something or someone more true than Him.
