I'm a native Californian born and bred, but I went out of state for college, and out of the country for life experience. I may look all white, but I think in my heart I am Japanese. I'm looking for the right man to share my life with, and I love hanging out: I have the most wonderful friends! I am a high school teacher, and most people think that makes me crazy, but it's great. And I of course enjoy a well-deserved drink or two!

My Interests

Travel is the light of my life! I want to see the world, and I have a good start! I have been to Mexico, Japan, Korea, Peru, Italy, France, China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau and Greece. Watch out for those cruise ships, they're killers! Heading back to Japan in the summer. I love reading, movies and shopping. You'll never find me without a good book or without my cats waiting for me at home! I also love anything and everything Disney! Disneyland, DCA, Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea and Lady and the Tramp rule!

For me, it's all about the soundtracks and showtunes. I love the variety available on movie soundtracks, and Broadway show tunes are my lifeline. I am always singing them at the top of my lungs while driving in the fun LA traffic! Nowadays, "Wicked" is the most likely to be in my CD player. I LOVE that show! It is fun and the homages to "Wizard of Oz" are awesome. If anyone wants to go, I am in! Which character from WICKED are you???

Where to start ... I will read almost anything, and my interests vary by the day. Jane Austen is always a safe bet, as is anthing related, but I am also just as likely to pick up some chick lit or Asian history books. Some recent favorite authors incluse Jasper Fforde (check out his books-they traverse through literature in a sci-fi way), Sophie Kinsella (great British shopping chick lit) and Gregory Maguire (got me a signed copy of "Son of a Witch"!). I also read anything by Jane Smiley and Murakami Haruki.
