Right, so I'm a filmmaker and a musician. I've never been paid for doing either, but hopefully that'll change someday. I'm finishing up my MFA in film production and will soon have my thesis film under my belt. I'm also doing the music for said thesis film, which will allow me to skip the annoying process of attempting to beg for festival rights from bands and musicians.

After that, who knows? Perhaps some rich producer will see my work and fly me away to a land where large sums of money flow like rivers and directors don't have to worry about where the grip truck is being parked. Until then, I guess I'll just keep making movies out of my own (empty) pocket.

Did I mention that it's really awesome to be entering a job market with insane competition and absolutely no guarantee of any kind of success? For a guy who doesn't like surprises, it sure is strange that film making ended up being my 1 passion in life. Perhaps the God of Luck will grant me one wish: I'd really like to pay off my debt before I'm 92.
