Film:
I'm a HUGE film and movie fan.
Art:
It doesn't matter if it's well-known, little-known, or unknown...
Find something in it that means something to you...
Food:
One of the more under-rated art forms. It can be a gateway to other cultures and can taste pretty damn good...
Sodas
I've just realized what I shouldn't been aware of years ago. I love to try eccentric sodas and hunt for discontinued ones. I treat it with he same level of reverence that some people have for wine. Odd, I know.
History:
Yes, it's all been done. But you have to figure that out for yourself.
Style:
I'm not talking that "fashion" bullshit. I'm not talking about what's popular. I'm not talking about becoming a clone of what connects to someone else. I'm talking about finding something that connects with you and becomes you...
Sneakers:
Okay, so that's not really accurate. I'm a Nike freak. Jordans and Nikes, that's me.
Making my own T-Shirt designs:
Photoshop, Ink-Jet Printer, Iron. I can create magic. I'm so lame... ha ha
Storytelling:
Whether it's books, movies, music, history, mythology, fiction, or true stories.
Sharing, identifying, connecting, discovering...
I'd like to meet:
- Anyone with an open mind.
- Anyone who still wants to better themselves.
- Anyone who can enjoy life without getting caught up in their constructed life.
But if we're talking about famous people...
Well, I met Quentin Tarantino back in '94, so... I'd still like to meet...
Martin Scorsese
Natalie Portman (I love her. really really)
Rachel Ray (I know, she's kinda annoying. I still like her)
Mario and Luigi
Christopher Walken
Tony Bourdain
Sheriff John Bunnell
Tim Curry
Paul Mooney
Solid Snake
That gal from the Orbit gum commercials
And some people I want to slap:
Anyone related to Lindsay Lohan
Anyone who serves me pork products to eat.Republicans who want a return to the "Ronald Reagan" era. Why would this country want that again? We've already had a repeat of Nixon.
Anyone who focuses on the differences between people rather than common ground
Tom Sizemore. Lock him up already.
Fat people who use all the motorized carts at the grocery store, then camp out in the ice cream aisle. Stupid tubbies.

Way too many to list here...
Television:
Actually, not a big fan of the boob tube. Amazing that so many channels offer so little imagination. I don't give a damn about who can dance, or top comics, or biggest losers, or any other "reality shows." They all seem to serve cell phone companies by asking you to vote or register for some prize.
That being said, I still find myself watching things (some with appropriate guilt) like:
24 (I'm totally hooked on this show. Just finished Season 3)
Heroes (although the season finale was balls disappointing)
Car Chase shows and Court TV R.E.D.
Cheaters (I HATE that I watch this regularly)
Ninja Warrior (on G4)
King of the Hill
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Shows that are classic and I will fight anyone who says otherwise:
Arrested Development (god, I'll miss it)
Mr. Show
Seinfeld (until the last season)
Friends. (except the last two lazy seasons)
The Price is Right (until Bob's replaced)
FAMILY FEUD!!! Richard Dawson was straight pimp!
Sex and the City (Yes. I've seen every episode. Yes, I'm Mr. Big...)
I also miss the hell out of:
Double Dare: Only the really old ones with Marc Summers & Harvey
Danger Mouse
Darkwing Duck
Animaniacs
ESPN, back when it was good (pre-Stuart Scott days. Like Kilborn and Olberman old)
And does anyone else remember that show on GSN called Inquizitor? It had the back of some old guy's head asking questions rudely to three people jeopardy-style. I used to LOVE that show...
And I will stomp a baby if I could get old episodes of
Sifl & Olly officially on DVD; the single greatest show ever made by human hands (literally).
Books:
Another potentially long list...
I'll keep it short and sweet:
Chuck Palahniuk, Anthony Bourdain, Bret Easton Ellis, Stephen King (The Dark Tower series is amazing... okay, well... the first four books are), Daniel Clowes, Pablo Neruda, and Peter Bogdanovich (This is Orson Welles is required reading for any artistic creative mind).
The lovely Kara Hawker turned me onto Chuck Klosterman, but I've only read Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs. (sidenote: my personal blogs sound an awful lot like Klosterman... weird)
And what can I say?
I'm a HUGE fan of the Harry Potter series. I did think that Goblet of Fire was the best one, and it is still the most epic of them all, but let it now be said... Half-Blood Prince is now the best one.
And oh yeah, my life is a Nick Hornby novel... I swear.
