Currently I am the Operations Manager for a contracting corp. and work my ass off running the company. On average I think I have been putting in 55-60hour work weeks so far, but I enjoy the job and don't mind working those types of hours. I mean hey, how many 25 yr olds get to run multi-million dollar company? Since I get up at 5am my weeknights are never too late, but I make up for it on the weekends when I'm hanging out with my friends. If there is something worth staying up for the hell with sleep... isnt that what my desk is for?
I am also a vol. firefighter and currently hold the position of Captain in my department. You can imagine all the crazy hours we have calls, they always seem to be at the worst time possible too (ie: sleeping, dinner time, 10 minutes after I left the firehouse to go home, etc.). On top of calls there are a bunch of meetings I go to, 2 a month standard but I am also on department committees that sometimes have meetings. I really enjoy the fire department and 99.9% of the guys I work with are great, I couldn't ask for a better group of people.
I am always trying to have fun and get the people around me to do the same. I do not do drugs and enjoy going out drinking (but not getting too drunk) either in Baldwin, RVC, or Wantagh with my friends. I have been called, and consider myself, a romantic.
