Boris alias Modunique first saw light in 1980 in Bern/Switzerland where he was given birth by an extraterrestrial beeing. The area Bern has been the environment that formed his musical background (alongside the alien influences). Music, no matter what kind and with only one limitation; that it’s rhythmic, has always been at the forefront of his life and remains the driving force in it. It all began with the old, the real, funk which his parents subdued him to early on, the path led down stops known as hip hop, trip hop, jungle, drum’n’bass and continued on to a place where the music became a mystery of sounds, melodies, rhythms and bass consuming him, not entirely but passionately, urging him to discover and decipher every bit.The question "what is your motivation and what are your goals...?" is answered whit a counterquestion: "Isn’t music itself enough motivation? My aim is to grasp the meaning of music as an entity, to relish the aforementioned mystery free of inhibitions, prejudice and constraints. The goal is the process of creation for the balance of the inner...uuuhhhh cheeeeeesy....isn't it?"
