The golden rule is best interpreted as saying: "Treat others only in ways that you're willing to be treated in the same exact situation." To apply it, you'd imagine yourself in the exact place of the other person on the receiving end of the action. If you act in a given way toward another, and yet are unwilling to be treated that way in the same circumstances, then you violate the rule.To apply the golden rule adequately, we need knowledge and imagination. We need to know what effect our actions have on the lives of others. And we need to be able to imagine ourselves, vividly and accurately, in the other person's place on the receiving end of the action. With knowledge, imagination, and the golden rule, we can progress far in our moral thinking.

“Life is not fair."
"Funny, I always thought that life was what we made of it.â€
Those two quotes sum up the principles that guide me through life. I try my best to stick to them, but sometimes I fail. I try not to judge people too quickly, but I do think that some people are not innocent or above being judged. I cannot stand double standards or hypocrisy, and I try my best to turn people’s double standards against them if I can. I sometimes have problems with authority or people who are in power abusing their power. I think that we are all born and will all die the same. I also do not like people who try to push their beliefs onto others, but I have a very strong sense of right and wrong, so it’s a fine line I walk with that one.
As far as I am with other people, I try to be funny, I love to bring people out of their shells, I have a knack of being able to get away with saying things normally shouldn’t be said, I shouldn’t be taken seriously all the time, and I have a disarming smile that has saved my ass more times than I can count.
