I'm a freelance writer and poet. Right now I have two projects going. The first is TRAVELS ON THE DANCEFLOOR, a travel book which developed out of my enthusiasm for salsa. Currently I'm going around Latin America and the Caribbean, dancing salsa, meeting interesting people and getting into all sorts of trouble, and the book will be an account of everything that happens. The present leg of the journey is taking me through Venezuela, Colombia and Panama so if you email me and don't get an answer for a while, don't be surprised because computer access isn't always good!I'm also working on a biography of the poet, novelist, occultist and 'Inkling' Charles Williams, a close friend of Tolkien and CS Lewis. He's a strange and exciting cult writer who has inspired a lot of people and this will be the first proper life of him.When I'm not travelling I live in Manchester, England, with my beautiful wife, muse and dancing-partner Amanda. We have three grown up children and one gorgeous granddaughter.My interests will be obvious from other things on this page but the mainspring of it all is a love of creativity, colour and magick. I've practised Buddhist meditation for 32 years and am fascinated by the mysterious, the spiritual and whatever leads to the depths in us and the world.
