Four musicians who simply love early 1970..s Aussie Boogie/Blues bands with CHAIN and CARSON as MAJOR influences.

Deltachris

CREAM, CHAIN, CARSON, Kevin Borich Express, Canned Heat, The Purple Hearts (these bands are nearly all 3 piece power trio’s).
Eric Clapton...The Man!!

Most of the Woodstock (the first Woodstock) bands.
Sweet Felicia (this lady has a groove).

Deltachris thanks Jack, BG, Dirk, Squire & Dr Harry, all amazing bass players.

And.....Mr Leo Fender.

Grant
Eric Clapton. ....and Grant can play an amazing version of Santana’s Soul Sacrifice.

Andy
Can do a mean version of Dear Prudence ala Doug Parkinson and can mix it up when he has to!!!!

Kel

Spent time in Austin Texas in 1989 and lapped up all those small blues clubs on 6th Street. Bands play for tips, whats new!

All members of Chain (saw them do a support for John Mayall at the Prospect Hill in Kew in the late 70..s/early 80..s and John Mayall was up front in the crowd watching Matt Taylor playing harp!!!

Robben Ford, Ricky Skaggs, Doug Parkinson, Danny Gatton (if only!), Biilly Thorpe and Lobby Loyde.

Johnny Winter and Phil Emmanuel.

I have loved blues since I was 16. First saw Carson (Broderick Smith) and Chain at Sebastians and Berties early in 1972 at these great venues.

Eg Sebastians:

Saturday, July 3rd 1972: Carson / Healing Force / Cleves.
Saturday, July 10th 1972: Langford Lever Blues Band / Galadriel / Chain.
Saturday, July 17th 1972: Co. Caine / Billy Thorpe / Wild Cherries.
All the Town Hall gigs around Melbourne in the early 70..s.
Moorabbin Town Hall: (1973)
Dingoes / Madder Lake /
Lobby Lloyde and the Coloured Balls
Box Hill Town Hall
Caulfield Town Hall
St. Kilda Town Hall
Iceland (Well, not really a Town Hall) - Ringwood
(Thanks to the Blacky South Sharpies for making the train ride home eventful).

Saw the La De Da..s heaps of times, plus the Kevin Borich Express especially one wild night at Bombay Rock in Brunswick and out at Airport West when Kev was doing his fantastic version of "All Along the Watchtower".

Have watched and listened to Kevin Borich, Phil Emmanuel, Phil Para, Thorpie, Doug Parkinson, Madder Lake. Always stuck up for the local guitarists and bands.

Probably my favourite Aussie songs are "Chain/Carson Boogie..s", The La De Da..s "Gonna See My Baby Tonight", Daddy Cool..s "Come Back Again", Masters Apprentices "Rio De Camiro" and Healing Forces..s "Golden Miles".

I love early Australian bands, eg, Carson, Chain, Kevin Borich with some Cream, Rick Derringer, Stevie Ray, ZZ Top, early 10 Years After....

Love Johnny Winter, Rory Gallagher, Alvin Lee, Ritchie Blackmore, Robben Ford, Phil Emmanuel, Danny Gatton....
