I am a professional belly dancer based in Los Angeles, CA and Orange County, CA and director of my own dance company: Aleya and Negma Dance Co. We do all dances related to the middle east including bellydance, veil, saidi (cane) sword, candelabra, dabke, and occasionally a polynesian piece or flamenco. I/We perform at weddings, parties, birthdays, corporate events and theatres and generally anywhere fun and excitement are needed and requested. My heart lives to dance. I have been performing since 1997 and my specialty is Egyptian style. My awards include "People's Choice Award for Bellydancer of the Universe 1998 and in 2004 I was a top three finalist for Bellydance Superstars Auditions out of 12 weeks of auditions and over 100 girls from all over the world. I love the Middle East and I have been to Egypt twice a year for the last 5 years to study dance with the best bellydancers in the world and buy fabulous costumes! I live to be a postive person and my goal in life is to be happy doing what I love to do! And to also make a good living doing it. I have ongoing bellydance classes on Monday night in North Hollywood at MKM Dance Studio. Class time is 7:30pm-8:30pm. Please feel free to drop in. It is a mixed level class.
