Alfredo Villaflores, “AV El Cubano” was born in Habana, Cuba. Alfredo has been a constant promoter of Latin Music from the moment he arrived in Sydney in 1994.
He was the first DJ to introduce Cuban music and dancing into all the “Latin Night Clubs” in Sydney and today he has plenty of followers who love his music and his style.
He also plays music from all parts of Latin America, R&B, Latin hiphop and Parties Clasics from 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
Alfredo has just come back from a three months trip where people of other parts of the world enjoyed his music and dance shows.
In spain he played at “La Negra Tomasa”, a well known Cuban Club in Madrid. In Cuba he played at “Café Habana”, “La Puntilla” and in the popular”Café Cantante”
In Argentina he was repetedly invited to play at the most popular Salsa spot of Buenos Aires, “Azucar”, where he delighted people with his music and made them participate with new dance movements. Everyone had a ball!!!! Two years ago he was invited to London by “Lady Reggae”, to take part in the biggest Latin American Festival in the UK, “Latin Splash”, where he shared stage with some of the most famous Latin Stars in the world such as “La India”, ‘Paulito FG”, “El Gran Combo” and “La Factoria”.
While over there he took part in the “DJ’s World Competition of London”, against the best well known DJ’s in the world, obtaining 3rd place!!
Alfredo was also the popular host of “Latin Mix” Radio program and “Afro Cuban Sounds of Music” in Skid Row Radio, 88.9fm.
Av El Cubano has worked in all the “Hot Spots” around town!! Such as “BJ’s Night Club”, “La Campana”, “Club Havana”, “Fox Studios”, “Club Marconi”. “Copacabana Restaurant” and “ The Spanish Club”, “The Blue Cuban Room”, “Spanish Harlem”, “Latin Flava”, “Bar Rumba”, “Kentra Bar”, “Casa de La Salsa”, “Port Orient”, amongst others. He also takes part in major festivals in Sydney such as “Bondi Latin Festival”, “Fiesta” and “Bacardi”.
Recently, Alfredo became an executive member of "The Australian Latin DJ's Association". A group that unites 12 Latin DJ's, here in Sydney for the first time ever. ALDJ's was established with the aim to unite talented DJ's and provide the public with the latest in Latin music. Alfredo also does private parties and corporate functions; “AGL”. “IBM” and many more!!!!
