About Me

Fire Pig and Water Rat, formerly known as Fish and Friends, is a collaboration started by producer Beatdaddy (Big) Fish of the Sidewalk Skolaz with Keyboardist Kaialexander currently of Amp Fiddler and Greg Firak ( Fy-Rack) of Project Quartette. The beginning of the idea for a downtepmo, beat and sampled driven jazz album started in 2000 when Fish and Kai met. In the spring of 2006 they strarted laying tracks and recorded a Billie Holiday cover with Ugochi Nwaogwugwu aka African Buttafly. The collaboration tries to work as productively as possible while various members are gigging and traveling around the world. Enjoy the music on this page.
