People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you
of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some
false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building,
someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness,
they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will
forget tomorrow,
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and
it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got ... anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is
between you and God,
It never was between you and them anyway...
-Mother Theresa
I'm a work in progress, and will never be finished. All I can do is try in this world, and I will die trying.
sometimes i... laugh at my own jokes, say things without thinking, get worked up and rant on myspace, try to dance and end up scareing people, ignore people without realizing it, lose my temper, feel insecure, am too hard on myself, forget to do my homework, laugh too hard at something that isnt that funny, yell when I get slapped and it sounds... wrong, wanna run far away, over-explain myself...
Basically; I'm not perfect. And I never claimed to be. Though I try my best to follow in the footsteps of the ONLY one who is perfect. I'm just living my life the best that I can, and correcting as many of the mistakes I make as I can. I'm done walking on eggshells with people. If you wanna be my friend, accept me for who I am.
