About Me

Fun facts: I hate recording studios.
I like Twitter.

"Murder murder a ripe blood stain. Pull the fucking trigger cuz I'm sick of it all...intoxicated with the madness I'm in love with my sadness...that's what you get when you let your heart win...raising me alone wasn't that much fun...whoops I OD'd...and then he's gone, like a flash, then he's gone, like a flash, yeah like a flash, yeah..."
Thanks to pervasive media coaxing, most ambulatory humans at some point feel the need to sample "alternative" or "underground" culture. Most often this need is met by witnessing some form or other of musical performance understood to be edgy.
"The crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them; disagree with them; glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do. " -Jack Kerouac
I was born on Christmas morning 1980. I have two younger awesome brothers whom I love. My mom owns a bookstore in Florida. My hot punk rock wife is a dance instructor. My infant son is very little and cute. I grew up a troubled child in a broken home, train-hopping, death of a best friend, partying, and just lots of general destruction. With punk rock and hardcore as my backbone, I came out of the other side in one piece. Now I express my bursting emotional energy through guitar and my racing troubled mind through lyrics. What a ride!
I have been in bands my whole life, first in school marching and jazz band and then playing guitar, singing, and writing songs in punk rock bands. My life work is music and I've done almost everything that can be done as show promoter, club talent buyer, and I've toured with bands as merch guy, guitar tech, tour manager(sometimes all three at once). I design flyers on photoshop. Occasionally I will counsel bummed out musicians/promoters.
If you live in Europe I will be working on the Reagan Youth tour in August(thank you Paul, Pat, Al, and Javier!):

INFPsOccurring in only about one percent of the population, Healers can easily feel isolated. They value harmony and integrity in human relationships, seeking unity of mind, body, and spirit but often find these values to be out of step with the more concrete pursuits of the rest of the world. Feeling "different," they may wonder whether something is wrong with them. But those differences—an ethical nature, a devotion to ideals, a commitment to harmonious interaction—are in fact some of their greatest strengths. They often have a subtle, tragic motif running through their lives -- inner pain and unease which others seldom detect.
When they set their minds on things, INFPs are not likely to give up easily, yet because of their outward gentleness, they do not show their determination. To understand INFPs their cause must be understood, for they are willing to make unusual sacrifices for someone or something believed in.
INFPs seek unity in their lives, unity of body and mind, emotions and intellect. They often have a subtle tragic motif running through their lives, but others seldom detect this inner minor key. The deep commitment of INFPs to the positive and the good causes them to be alert to the negative and the evil, which can take the form of a fascination with the profane. Thus INFPs may live a paradox, drawn toward purity and unity but looking over the shoulder toward the sullied and desecrated. When INFPs believe that they have yielded to an impure temptation, they may be given to acts of self-sacrifice in atonement. Often they hear a deep calling to go forth into the world to help others.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

"Listen to the stage manager and get on stage when they tell you to. No one has time for the rock star act. None of the techs backstage care if you're David Bowie or the milkman. When you act like a jerk, they are completely unimpressed with the infantile display that you might think comes with your dubious status. They were there hours before you building the stage, and they will be there hours after you leave tearing it down. They should get your salary, and you should get theirs." -Rollins

"Like most of the others, I was a seeker, a mover, a malcontent, and at times a stupid hell-raiser. I was never idle long enough to do much thinking, but I felt somehow that my instincts were right. I shared a vagrant optimism that some of us were making real progress, that we had taken an honest road, and that the best of us would inevitably make it over the top. At the same time, I shared a dark suspicion that the life we were leading was a lost cause, that we were all actors, kidding ourselves along on a senseless odyssey. It was the tension between these two poles - a restless idealism on one hand and a sense of impending doom on the other - that kept me going."-Hunter S. Thompson

"Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities — the political, the religious, the educational authorities — who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing — forming in our minds — their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable open-mindedness, chaotic, confused vulnerability to inform yourself." -Tim Leary
