my newest addition the bersa .380 thunder !!!my name is Ron and i reside in burtchville michigan..im married to my wife betty and we have been together forever !! i have four kids ranging from 21 to 27 yrs old,,i also have three grandchildren,ronald dean donaghy (AKA "papaboy"),nathan jay perry (AKA "the duck") and bailie suzanne perry, all three are my pride and joy !! so anyways,being im only in my fortys and look much much younger,(just ask me,,ill tell ya!)its hard to believe!!anyways, im in the car business,,great money,long hours..before i entered the insane business of selling cars i was a full-time musician.im a drum player who likes to hit em hard and play loud as hell,prefer playing rock and roll but can play other styles as well..i have a take no prisoners approach to the drums in the alex van halen/john bonham style with the flair of a gunner ross/tommy lee influenced showmanship,,always hated the so called technical players that were more interested in fills than doing what a drummer should be doing,,KEEPIN TIME!! i mostly played in the detroit and port huron michigan areas, i played in many different bands,,some of them were, stellar void,traxus,nightshift,hot pursuit,troubled boiz,janis leigh and luck of the draw, to name a few,,some of, but not all, the fellow musicians i played with were,,aaron deem,john morris,ted hoffman,dave cole,eddie stephens,brett burney,darrin odonnel,john blashill,don kerner,and a heck of a lot more that i cant think of right now. backed up many big acts in the modern country band i was in(janis lee and luck of the draw)including neil mccoy,the dixie chicks,deana carter,clint black and pam tillis to name a few,,we even won the michigan battle of the bands in 1998!!! out of 250 bands that competed in michigan,we won !!! for winning we represented michigan in a national battle of the bands in ft laromie ohio,,a three day outdoor country woodstock type thing. we arrived about 1am and because we had a hitler style bitch of a singer who had us get up so damn early the next day,(we were suppose to play in the later afternoon and the queen had us there by 9am)we played like shit, from being so damn tired from the trip and lack of sleep. but we still ended up coming in fourth place in the country,,,not bad id say !!,,then i just got tired of it,,,too many politics and dealing with singers with massive egos just finally took its toll on me..the country broad was the worst,lol, ( its always the fuckin singers or guitar players isnt it ?? ) so i have been out of the scene for quite a while, but i must admit i still crave it on occasion..oh well,,still bang the kit in the ole garage,,but if the right gig comes along i might consider playing again..hobbies include,music,drums,vintage stereo equipment,geneology,i enjoy finding fellow donaghys from around the world,,we are all related(how cool is that??)..i also love history, my wife says i should of been a history teacher. I love the revolutionary period as well as the civil war.im also an advocate of the second amendment,,i am a member of the national rifle association,an organization that stands up for our second amendment rights !! i believe the government has no authority to not allow law abiding citizens to own and possess firearms!!well,,im kind of boring but it is what it is !!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxted sums up the gun issue the best,,,,,rap music =R=retards A=Atempting P=PoetryRAP SUCKS !!!!!!!!! //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////WH EN VAN HALEN WAS VAN HALEN !!!!
