The AMERICAN POKER ALLIANCE was founded by Bob "thesoxwin" Slate (Founder and Tournament Director) and Bill "bluefeather" Frazer (Founder and Tournament Director). They had a vision of bringing poker players from all over the country together. Kim "MsOutboard" Frazer (News and Info), Noreen "CookieK" Klein (Forum Administrator and Casino Tournament Director), and the famous Mr. Terry (Forum Administrator) joined Bob and Bill to help them make their vision a reality.

WMTPoker is Western Mass. Tournament Poker, an organization of two tournament Directors and a host of dealers who assist in the organization and set up of benefit and charity events across Western Massachusetts. WMTPoker is also the founder of the AMERICAN POKER ALLIANCE. The APA is located at www.wmtpoker.com and encompasses a vast array of poker topics and discussions. There you will find all tournament information, both "live" and "online" such as dates, events, results, Q&A and WSOP details.

We started using WMTPoker to give players a place to find information on local tournaments. However, after meeting in Las Vegas and drafting members from all over the country, we are now on a mission to join all poker players in the country to WMTPoker as American Poker Alliance Members.

The APA has since joined forces with the United Poker Alliance located in Seneca, Illinois to cater to their mid-western members. We are now partnered together and carry members and contacts across from all over the country. With these contacts we now have the respect of major casinos in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Connecticut.

The American Poker Alliance will have several major live events within the next year.
We now invite you to make your way to WMTPoker and join our player base and become a member of the American Poker Alliance.

APA NEWS! ♥ A great friend and Poker Player most of us know at the American Poker Alliance and the United Poker Alliance, "Jakdog" was severely injured in a motorcycle accident that put the lives of two awesome people on hold. Since then this couple has had to endure mental, emotional, and physical strain for months. And the road to recovery has been slow, but steady. A woman that has what seems like incredible strength has taken a new position in her labors to keep the food on the table and her man comfortable and help him get back "in the game."

Most if not all of us sent cards and the best wishes we could send and we all wished we could have been there to help in anyway that we could. Bill (BlueFeather) Frazer personally spent many nights playing poker on Doyle's Room and listened to her explain to me each step of their way through this process what was happening and give as much moral support as he could, though its hard 2700 miles away. This was not good enough for him.

Wanting to do more, Bill contacted UPA to see what Doyle’s Room could offer and here is the game plan:

On Saturday, November 4, 2006, in conjunction with APA and UPA Administration, we will put on a Huge Tournament to benefit these two people: JAKDOG AND KATDOG.

We felt a 25.00 buy in was not much to ask for great cause. The prize pool will go in the form of a lump sum to Jak and Kat. Doyle’s Room has graciously donated $100 into the money pool to be directed to Jak and Kat. The prizes for "ITM" finishes will be paid out in donated gifts such as Doyle’s Room gear and accessories, Atomik Tables, Chip Sets, APA shirts, APA gas card/s and UPA sponsored gifts. When the gift tally is finished we will announce this at APA, UPA, and here A.S.A.P.!

Please note this is a benefit tournament for our own, so no money will be passed as prize as it will go to Kat and Jak for needed bills, etc. Our friends at United States Tournament Poker in Washington will be advised about this and invited to play. All APA and UPA and USTP members are urged to play if possible, if you can’t because of funds this is understandable but please come to the Tournament to rail bird, visit and show your support for Jak and Kat. Any support you can give, be it buy in or just stopping by will so very much appreciated by us.

To register, please visit wmtpoker.com or unitedpokeralliance.com to sign up. Please help a fellow poker player in need. If you have any questions please contact Bill at [email protected].

Upcoming WMT/APA Tournaments

♠ December 1, 2006....place TBA and this is for the Springfield Titans LL baseball team.

♣ We will then schedule our FIRST Christmas Freeroll { No-entry fee }, But hopefully plenty of CA$H!! We are looking at a Mid- December date. The details are in the works...we'll let you know asap!

♥ In January of 2007, our first tournament will be the 19th, in Westfield, either at the School Street Bistro or at the Tekoa Country Club. This tourney will benefit the Westfield Rotary Club.

♠ The next tournament, in mid-February, is the biggie. The Elks Club on Tiffany street has once again expressed interest in hosting a tourney. Last year the winner received $10,000.00 and almost 300 people played for $20,000.00. We liked this place so much, we became members. This will be the premier tournament in the area. The Elks , along with WMTPOKER, go all out for this one. We are looking at a Two day tournament with blinds to rise every 30-40 minutes.

♣ On March 30th, 2007, The Westfield Boys and Girls club comes back to wmtpoker to host its second tourney.

♦ ALL THE ABOVE TOURNAMENTS ARE $100.00 BUY-INS AND ARE FOR THE CHARITIES LISTED. ALL TOURNIES WILL BE UPDATED AS SOON AS WE RECEIVE INFORMATION TO FILL IN THE BLANKS. STAY TUNED AND GOOD LUCK AT THE TABLES!!
