I am here for Friends

About Me

Ok, I'm not keeping you up to date on my blog, as this would mean way too many clicks for my friends to cope with, therefore, anything I have to say will be written below. So you only need to use your scroll button... (not too quickly tho, you don't want to get your fingers tired)
I live with my two cats, Munchkin & Minstrel, in North Wales.
I'm the secretary to a local Sunday League Football Team, and in our first season, we did really, really well. Middle of the table on our first season, I'm so proud of the boys!
We had a presentation night at the end of May, great night. The photos are on the website. Here's the link: Pen-y-Bryn FC website.
I enjoy travelling, have been to Australia a couple of times and absolutely loved it. The fireworks in Sydney on New Years Eve are something everyone should see once in their lives, it was amazing. I travelled the West coast of America too, that was amazing. I got to fly over the Grand Canyon which is one of my fondest travelling memories. Las Vegas was mindblowing. Totally awesome, if you give yourself a limit, you'll thoroughly enjoy it. Florida was cool, but the rain and humidity put me off. I've been to Spain a couple of times too, and Spain is exactly how I expected, Spain! Went to Turkey recently and found I was very pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the country. Not what I excpected at all. Also I have to mention Sri Lanka, a very beautiful and friendly country. Ok there are armed guards at checkpoints all over the place, but it does add to the charm of the place! Honestly. I would recommend Sri Lanka to anyone of any age. The places I wouldn't hesitate revisiting are: Paris, Rome, LA and of course, any town, village or hamlet in Australia!
My only gripe about travelling is..... Mosquitos. They are the only thing on this planet I would wipe out. They have no bloody purpose, and boy do they like me. I reckon I'd get bitten in the north pole by one of those blood sucking, scar causing, disease spreading, trumpet playing, pointless, ugly, scavenging bar stewards. Yes you guessed it, I don't like Mosquitos. Kill em all, that's what I say. Especially the Ozzy ones, Ozzy Mozzies, NOT GOOD! Sorry if I have offended any entomologists out there! If you have any tips on how to stop the buggers biting, please let me know. Thanks.
As for work, I buy and sell alcohol in bulk. I also work at one of my parents' hotels. (Life doesn't get much better.) I also dabble in a little EBay trading too, it's quite a little earner :-)
I have just finished a black & white photography course and thoroughly enjoyed it. When living in North Wales, you never seem to run out of decent photo opportunities.
Saturdays and Sundays normally consist of watching the footy. And being a UTD fan, what a season!

I've just recently been to Rome, where I went to watch the Wales rugby team lose due to referee and side officals error. (If you don't believe me, listen to the recording of the official and the ref's conversation just before the final whistle. Shambolick) But hey, it was a wonderful weekend, met some great people, saw an amazing city and got very, very drunk.

On the other hand, went to Cardiff for the Wales v England game on the 17th. What a game! Most Excellent. From the offset we were, by far, the strongest team on the field, and after 80 mins on the field the proof was in the pudding. The crowd went mad, as did the whole of Wales. And when the ref blew the whistle for the last time, had the roof been open in the stadium, the whole of the UK would have heard the singing. 28-17 the score, a wonderful game to watch, and a wonderful display of what our lads are better known for - Playing Rugby well. The atmosphere was amazing, and the celebrating ensued.... I even got hiccups!

Unfortunately, my Dad was taken into hospital (leg injury), so he missed the game. But we celebrated on his behalf. Also when we went to visit him on the Sunday, who did we see in the Casualty department of Cardiff Heath Hospital? Rhys Ifans, no less! In town for the Rugby. Nice 1 Dude! What a weekend!
Well done lads, well done Wales. I love yaz.
Went to see the Manics a few weeks ago. They were absolutely fantastic. Awesome guys! Llandudno's never been so lucky! Anyone who was there, big hello from the nutty girl who was taking photos of the pink toilets!
Just got back from a Poker Holiday in Lanzarote, had an amazing time. Did quite well in the cash games, celebrated my birthday in style, Pernod, Absinthe, rock on!
Met some brilliant people there, and hoping to play some poker over the border soon!
As for Poker, the winter season is in full swing, the fight for top -spot is heating up to melting point. It could go anyway now, only a few games left. At the time of this update I am at the top, but I'm not confident just yet. Some dark-horses have entered into the running, Good Luck everyone in the Nuts Poker League. Online play now available! oh yes!!!!!
