All About Change

About Me

Wow, about me. Right now, I would say, I am just putting one foot in front of the other. However, I think the fact that I am messing with this is a good sign. About me, let's see? First off, I adore Rod Stewart!! Everywhich way but loose!!! I love other kinds of music as well. I love to readHmmm, I have a good sense of humor, I'm 52 with 5 grown children, 6 grandchildren, but I still think I'm 30 something. At least my brain does much of the time, until I go by a mirror. (Yikes) Well, could be worse. God's been good to me. Oh yeah. I am recently seperated from a 10 year marriage. Yes, it is a good thing. But I find myself lost and feeling kind of lonely sometimes, so I am going to try and figure out how this works and break out and find some new friends! It's wonderful to meet you, see you on my space..... ShirleyMyspace For Girls Only - MyGirlySpace.com

My Interests

Other than what I have already said, hmmmm, how could I forget Rabbit!! My dog!! The best little dog I have ever seen. He's a 5 month old Rat Terrier. Soooo smart. He already does half a dozen tricks; rolls over, sits, gives high 5, fetches and releases and won't take a treat until he hears the words 'good boy', even if I walk out of the room. He will not touch that treat until it is released to him!! He has been my constant companion and my strong shoulder. My best friend. I do not know what I would do without him right now! :)

I'd like to meet:

Michael Dorn (Worf/StarTrek/TNG,DS9), Rod Stewart Rod Stewart has been a lifelong fantasy of mine since I was 14, but I have watched Michael Dorn on his show day after day and I don't believe someone can act that way for that long without some of those morals rubbing off on oneself! Anyway, I just thing he is seexxxy in and out of costume and would be honored to meet the gentleman!

Music:

I think just about anything; rap to rock, waltz to country, I think I'm open to just about anything, wow, I just realized this!! COOL!!

Movies:

Too many to mention; The World According To Garp, Footloose, Deerhunter, Raising Arizona, The Cure, Face Off, First Contact, Nemesis, Abyss, Almost Nicholas Cage anything, Finding Nemo, ...

Television:

Law and Order,(mainly the original, but I'll watch them all), CSI,(same thing), Without A Trace, Star Trek/TNG, DS9 re-runs, 4400 and The Dead Zone when they are running new ones, and most definately Battlestar Galactica!! The new ones, of course!

Books:

Dean Koontz, mainly, John Grisham, John Saul, and a handful of other authors.

Heroes:

Worf, Captain Piccard, Captain Cisco, General Martock,.../these are big flashy heroes, the real heroes, we see them every day, but they never get recognized, or named. They are the ones that you see struggling to make a difference in your communities and neighborhoods. The ones that give up their seat on the bus for the pregnant lady, though their own back is killing them. The bystander who is not afraid to get invovled. Their still out their. We just have to look harder sometimes!
