MyGen Profile GeneratorI speak Farsi.

My Interests

Walking in the rain, watching sunrise then going back to bed, collecting tea, dancing on the tube, dusting off my books, exploring without maps, practising my foreign language skills, having a dance off with strangers, old lady beads and knitwear from charity shops and people with black hair. This list is by no means exhaustive.

I'd like to meet:

Movies:

Iranian cinema throws uranium over every other film industry going. I hope Hollywood explodes in a chemical disaster caused by bad acting, cheap women and collagen. Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, Paradise Now, Requiem for a Dream, Everything is Illuminated, Hard Candy was terrible but Enduring Love was pretty good for an adaptation. I like sinister foreign films.

I like Nick Cave in Johnny Suede

Television:

Desmond's, Dark Place, Jam, Brass Eye, Channel 4 News, Friday Night Armistice, The Day Today, The Sopranos, Kath & Kim, More 4's True Stories etc... If Will Self is in it, I'll watch it. Ulysses was great

Written of my previous workplace:/p?
"This channel is a sitcom waiting to happen. Set bought off eBay, mass walkouts, make-up girls writing the news, chavs nicking news stories out of The Citizen... this is an utterly brilliant tale of disaster! "

by Simon Darnell 10/04/07

Books:

Science was my vocation until one night in 2005, I was encountered by the ghost of Thomas Hardy who told me henceforth, to follow a path in literature. I threw down my stethoscope, shed a single tear and ran to the nearest library I could find. I really miss science.

Heroes:

Medea, Amnesty International and Jem the original riot grrrrl.
