I started broadcasting in the early 80's for BBC Radio Medway which later became BBC Radio Kent. I did the Mid-Morning Show 9 -11am Monday to Friday and also earned a reputation for having one of the most listened to Soul Shows in the U.K. on Friday Nights. I believe I was also the first D.J to work for Commercial Radio & the BBC at the same time, because at that time the BBC would normally only let you work for them and no other company.Weekends, I did Radio Orwell & Saxon now known as Heart FM in East Anglia. Saturday's 6-9 pm Boogie Down with Dave Brown & Sunday Lunchtime's Back Tracking. I left the BBC in October 1987 to go to Invicta Radio which is the Commercial Radio Station for Kent. I decided to leave Radio in 1991 as I was having sucess with my business which I started in 1986.I came back to Radio in 1996. I was invited by Essex Radio to be a programming consultant for their application for a new dance station Vibe FM now known as Kiss, Vibe went on air November 1998 covering the East of England. I mainly presented Brown Beats an R&B show. After ownership changes in 2001 at Vibe I found myself out in the cold which does happen from time to time in any company.I'm not just saying this, I love working on Solar Radio which I went on air 5th April 2004 it is a Radio Station that let's me be me, producing & presenting my own show loving the music I choose & play & getting so much warmth from listeners all over the world.
